Respect In Sport - "Coach Certification"

For the 2012/2013 season, ALL TEAM OFFICIALS on the bench will have to have the

Respect In Sport or the equivalent of Speak Out.

Qualification Requirements

 There is no prerequisite course to the Respect In Sport Program.
Qualification is based on 100% completion of the online program. 
You will get a RIS certification upon the successfull completion of the course that can be printed.

Speak Out- Respect In Sport

1.1 Effective immediately, Speak out clinics will no longer be scheduled and may no longer be requested by MHA's. Speak Out certification and Respect In Sport certification will henceforth be considered equivalent.

1.2 Hockey Alberta bylaw Section F as pertaining to coach requirements will now read as follows:

"All teams registering with Hockey Alberta must have all team officials achieve Speak Out or Respect In Sport Certification by December 31st."

Coach Clinic Reimbursement

Once you have completed your courses, submit the reimbursement form, a copy of your reciept and
a copy of your certification card. 

Shaw Meadows Hockey will reimburse selected coaches 50% for the required courses for your division.
